Will The American Law Affect Global Online Gambling?
5 Oct 2006
Online casinos around the world are very concerned with this major question. The Law bans credit cards companies from working with online gambling websites. This, of course, has many solutions, which will be addressed shortly, but will this affect other governments to state a parallel law? Online gambling wagers feel that this would not happen. In a survey conducted last week, many gamers through out the world feel, that this is law can only be introduced in the United States, and although the major pressure European and Asian lobbies use, this cannot happen in online gambling facilities outside the US.
Online casinos in the US are using some methods to bypass this law, such as taking money from a third party which is not a credit card company, receiving payment on the phone and more. European online gambling websites do not have this problem, yet, as they can accept credit cards. Lobby activity in the United States is a very common thing, and many lobbies are struggling in the cenat and Congress. The European politics is different, and the lobby activity is not as common as the United States. The online gambling survey in Europe and Asia states what is true out there: the chances of a law like this to pass in Europe are small and distant.
Online gambling has been a very successful field this year, and the global market seem to be in a very solid and stable manner. The US law does affect the global online gambling community, but having many legal solutions to all the issues, the affect will be dismissed soon and everything will be back on track.
