One year later, Katrina Survivors aided by online gambling site
14 Sep 2006
A certain online gambling company has decided to join the attempt to help New Orleans return to what t once was before Hurricane Katrina. One year later, the city has not yet come close to recovering from the devastation and ruin that hit that city. Only half of the residents of the city have returned; the other half may never return. In addition, tourism has basically disappeared, suicide rates are high, and finances, personal and business, have been ruined. Therefore the online gambling site in question is acting to assist New Orleans in returning to its former levels of culture and tourism. The online gambling auction site and its efforts will be run by a Katrina survivor.
Steve Morrow, who has served in the past as the Director of the World Series of Poker Director and who founded ad acts as president of a poker consultants group , will manage the auction. All proceeds from items sold on the online gambling auction site will be donated to the New Orleans Musicians Hurricane Relief Fund. The online gambling site’s auction was initiated by Morrow. Morrow has donated some of his own poker memorabilia, including a brand new Poker Room manager’s Jacket. The starting bid (no reserve) for this jacket is only $1.
The registration and bidding on the online gambling auction site is free. In addition sellers are advised, for free, how to maximize their own profits and business potential. The online gambling auction site places no restrictions regarding the types of items that one can auction off.
